Your support helps us educate park visitors of all ages about the importance of being good stewards of the natural and cultural resources in our State Parks. Our environmental education programs serve over 5,000 school children each year! In addition, we support two State Parks visitor centers, public education activities and stewardship programs in our parks. Donations can be designated for specific programs that reflect your passion. General donations are used for programs without adequate funding at the discretion of the Stewards Board and staff. Donations over $100 include a Membership.
Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods is supported primarily through resale of educational materials in its visitor centers, sale of firewood at State Parks campgrounds, memberships, grants, donations from individuals and corporations and other fund development activities. As a 501(c)3 public benefit corporation all donations to our organization are tax deductible.

Make a Donation
Stewards is honored to accept donations in support of our work. Donations may provide general organizational support or they may be specified for a specific program of one of our Board-designated funds. In addition, Stewards provides opportunities for you to make donations in honor or memory of friends and family members. Donations are always acknowledged with a receipt and appropriate family members are notified when a donation has been made to honor or memorialize a loved one. We also encourage workplace giving through your employers donation program.
Donations over $500 include tickets to the Old Grove Festival.
In-kind donations are an important way to help support Stewards. We have many events each year that require raffle or auction items. Services are also sometimes needed and help offset our expenses.
Become a Sponsor
Stewards relies on sponsorships to defray the costs associated with special fund raising events and activities. Stewards has developed a comprehensive sponsorship program that provides sponsors with acknowledgement and benefits throughout the year. An acknowledgement banner is created and displayed at all events. Depending on the level of sponsorship, donors are mentioned in PR materials and in many cases business logos are used to highlight sponsors. Stewards also supports reciprocal links from our web site to sponsor web sites.
Sponsorships include tickets to the Old Grove Festival.
Be an Advocate for California State Parks
The California State Parks system needs our support. Since the 1980's, our state parks have sustained budget cuts that have resulted in a $1.2 billion deferred maintenance backlog. In May, 2008 the National Trust for Historic Preservation put California's state parks system on its list of the 11 Most Endangered Places in the United States. In 2012, Stewards became the operator of Austin Creek State Recreation Area in order to keep it open. Stewards consistently works to advocate for our parks and keep our members and supporters up-to-date on how they can join us in this effort.
Donate Your Time - Office and Special Event Volunteers are Needed

Stewards is very fortunate to have a dedicated group of office volunteers who help us weekly on mailing projects, preparing for our orientation and training seminars, pricing inventory and much more. We are always looking for new volunteers to join this lively group of individuals who make an enormous contribution by generously sharing of their time!
Our special event volunteers are invaluable and make it possible for us to raise funds raise through these important events each year. Stewards participates in the annual Fisherman's Festival, the Trails Jamboree and the Bodega Seafood Art and Wine Festival. We host an annual Old Grove Festival at the Forest Theater at Armstrong Redwoods SNR. Come and spend the day on-site at an outdoor event and make a valuable contribution to Stewards' fundraising activities!
If you would like to become an office volunteer or to be added to our special event volunteer list, please contact Stewards at: stewards@mcn.org or phone (707) 869-9177.
