Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods is only able to do our good works with the help of the following dedicated individuals.


MicheleExecutive Director

Michele Luna has been at Stewards' helm since 1994. She has almost twenty years experience in nonprofit administration with an emphasis in volunteer programs. Michele has demonstrated skills in the areas of Board development, financial management, fund development and desktop publishing. During the past three years, Michele has become active on a statewide level with State Parks and other organizations doing advocacy and lobbying for environmental causes. She is the overall administrator of the programs Stewards supports.

Administrative Director

Annie Cresswell has been with Stewards since February of 2002 after graduating from Empire College with a certificate in business administration. She has a background in environmental advocacy and provides valuable administrative as well as program assistance.

melanie4We welcomed Administrative Assistant Melanie Russell to our staff in April of 2011. She grew up on "the River" and worked for Stewards as part of the New Ways to Work program during the summer of 2010. When the job came open unexpectedly we were thrilled to hire Melanie. She has database, clerical and management experience and has also helped coordinate volunteers in the past. Melanie is a true asset to our team!

MargaretOther Office Staff:

Margaret Ellsworth, Office Specialist - Margaret began working for Stewards in 2012 and filled a much needed area of expertise. She handles IT issues, database programming and provides valuable suppport for Administrative, Program and Operations staff.

Nik

Nik Szecsey, Office Assistant - Nik has worked with Stewards off and on through special youth employment programs. In 2012 he was hired part-time to provide valuable clerical and housekeeping support in the Stewards office.

 

 

 

 

 

 


Sukey Robb-WilderVolunteer Manager Sukey Robb-Wilder joined Stewards’ staff in November, 2011. Before then she volunteered with our State Parks Watershed Education, Environmental Living, and Armstrong Tour Guides programs. She brings great experience in project management, volunteerism and education.  She holds a Project Management Professional certificate and a California teaching credential.  Sukey coordinates volunteer recruitment, training and program assessment.

elizabethEnvironmental Educator, Elizabeth Vega is recently retired from being a classroom teacher. She brings not only a vast amount of expertise in the area of curriculum development but also has a musical background. She is currently working with local schools on a place-based redwood ecology program as well as new ways to accomodate larger groups of students at Armstrong Redwoods with a docent-led experience.

TomTom Webb, our Field Operations Manager, joined Stewards of the Coast and Redwood s in July 2012. Tom came to Sonoma County in 2001 to attend Sonoma State University.  Working with Sonoma County Parks, Tom had various duties in the area of park clean up and care, visitor contact, as well as money handling.  He also worked as a teacher of environmental education thru the County Parks’ Environmental Discovery Center program.  Tom still teaches part time.  Tom worked with Conservation Corps North Bay and the California State Parks Natural Resource Management Program before coming to Stewards.
