Nesting Birds at Bodega Head
Saturday, June 19, 2010, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

Join Hollis and Jerry Bewley for a morning of bird watching at Bodega Head. Possible nesters: Western gulls, pelagic cormorants, oystercatchers, Northern harriers, Great blue herons, ravens. Other possible sightings include pigeon guillemots, osprey, Brandt’s cormorants, egrets, and if we’re lucky, a peregrine falcon or burrowing owl. Bring binoculars and dress in layers - Hollis and Jerry will bring a couple of scopes.

Gourmet Hike and Art in the Park
July 17, 2010, 1:00 to 5:00 pm, (arrive no later than 2:00 pm for the Gourmet Hike) - Follow the signs to the Group Picnic Area

Meander along the lovely trails of Armstrong Redwoods amidst the towering old growth redwoods enjoying appetizers prepared by local chefs, wine tasting, entertainment by local musicians, art demonstrations and an exhibition of fine art for sale in the historic Redwood Forest Theater.

There are two option for enjoying this event:
Gourmet Hike & Art in the Park: $35 per person, 2 for $65
Art in the Park and Dessert: $10 per person

Food donated by: Applewood Inn, Jenner Bistro, Chef Patrick's, Corks and Coffee Bazaar

Wine donated by: Korbel Champagne, Barefoot Wine & Bubbly, Old World Winery and Russian River Vineyards

Entertainment donated by: The Thiessen Brothers, Happenstance, Jim Ocean and Edgehog
