Bodega Seafood, Art and Wine Festival

This is an I ♥ State Parks Weekend of Action Event!
Due to the recent budget cuts to the Department of Park and Recreation—plus the continuing state furloughs and other park-related budget reductions—100 state parks are estimated to close after Labor Day. The "I ♥ State Parks" weekends of action will encourage Californians to come out in force and show their support for state parks and opposition to park closures.

What will happen at the "I ♥ State Parks" events?
Come and show your support for our parks, by signing messages on green hearts that we'll collect and share with policy leaders after Labor Day.

Saturday, August 29th 10:00 to 6:00 and
Sunday, August 30th 10:00 to 5:00.

Don't miss this great annual event. Stewards and the Bodega Volunteer Fire Department benefit from the weekend. This year we are excited to bring the ever popular Rubber Duck Races to this festival. It's great fun for the entire family.

Volunteers Needed - September 25-27, 2009

It's now time to sign up to volunteer for staffing our three-day Old Grove Festival if you haven't already done so. We need people for all three days, including the Family Day in the Park on Saturday. We are also offering one day of camping in the Grove for every day you volunteer. Please let us know ahead of time if you would like to camp as space is limited.

Jobs include set-up, parking, concessions, trail guides, security and cleanup. We also need people to cook for the Great Mexican Feast on Sunday.

On Friday we need people who can arrive between Noon and 3:30 pm.

On Saturday shifts for the Family Day will begin between 9 and 10 am. Old Grove shifts begin between Noon and 3:30 pm.

On Sunday shifts begin between 9:30 and 10:30 am.

Email stewards@mcn.org with the day, the time you can arrive, and any limitations or preferences you have. Cleanup volunteers can arrive later then listed above.

If you can't volunteer we hope that you will attend one or more of the shows. There are great multi-show, group and family discounts. Whatever you can do to promote the shows will also be very much appreciated. Forward the link at the bottom of the page to your family and friends!

A fabulous musical experience amidst the old growth redwoods at Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve.

Food and Beverages including a Wine Bar will be available at each event.
