Adult Groups Stewards provides adult groups with walking tours or private naturalist-led adventures. Take a leisurely walk through the magnificent old growth redwoods of Armstrong Redwoods SNR or a more invigorating hike in the Austin Creek SRA, an oak woodlands area with expansive views. Hike the trails and beaches of the exquisite Sonoma Coast SP, where you may observe and and learn about local and migratory bird life, marine mammals, plants and wildflowers or the fascinating intertidal world. Armstrong and Austin Creek Hikes EcoAdventures are also offered: whale and seal watching, kayaking, birding, tidepooling and more. Docent and Community Education Seminars are also offered from January through June. Fees are charged for coordinating and planning the perfect experience for your group. A fee schedule will be provided once we hear from you through our online reservation system. Fees are dependent on the level of service and amenities you are interested in. Proceeds from this program help fund FREE environmental education programs for school groups. Adventure Amenities might include: Pocket field guides, stainless steel water bottles and eco-friendly tote bags. We will also arrange picnics or lunch at local restaurants for your group upon request for an extra charge. We recommend making group reservations at least 2 weeks in advance. To do so, simply register online by filling out our Online Reservation Form for Adult Groups. For more information on scheduling a naturalist-led adult group adventure, please contact: stewards@mcn.org or (707) 869-9177.
